Introduction

With seven highly acclaimed albums under his belt, Roger Wang is widely regarded as one of Malaysia's most talented and musical solo acoustic guitar player.
He was nominated for the esteemed Mandarin Oriental Fan of the Arts Award for "Most Promising Artist" at Malaysia’s only performing arts awards programme, the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards 2003, and has performed throughout Malaysia as well as in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands and the United States of America.
In 2007, he was voted Sabah Outstanding Young Person of the Year under the category of Cultural & Artistic Achievements by JCI Kota Kinabalu. His recent noteworthy achievements includes a sold out concert at the prestigious Petronas Philharmonic Hall and a feature on canto-pop superstar Jacky Cheung’s “Private Corner” album. Cheung recorded a Cantonese version of “Love Scale”, an original composition by Wang first released in the Double Take debut album.
Sujesh Pavithran from The Star newspaper says of the talented guitarist- songwriter-producer, "..... always very tasteful and inspiring. His is the sort of talent that will appeal to layman listeners as much as it will to hardened guitar aficionados."
